Craft and Design Market, October 25–26
As part of Shopping's 70th anniversary celebrations, we at the Craft and Design Center are organizing a craft market to promote local trade, reminiscent of what it looked like 70 years ago.
If you are an active artisan or work within the fields of: crafts, applied arts, design, or form, you are welcome to apply to the Craft and Design Market, which will take place on
October 25–26, 2025.

The application deadline is August 18.
The number of spots at the market is limited, and a selection will be made during August.
Accepted participants will be notified via email during week 35.

CRAFT AND DESIGN EXHIBITION
Application period: March 24 – April 27, 2025.
This fall Slöjd & Form Center is organizing the exhibition "Slöjd and Form exhibition 2025." The exhibition aims to showcase the breadth and skill within the field of handicrafts and design in Norrbotten and welcomes submissions from handicrafts, duodji, art crafts, design, and the design field. Applicants are asked to work around the theme "My Norrbotten," where they can freely formulate and justify their connection to the theme.
Criteria for applicants:
Applicants must be full-time/part-time professionals.
Must live in Norrbotten or have a strong connection to the region.
Application:
The deadline for applications is April 27, at 23:59. Selections will be made in May by a jury.

Compile the following in a PDF:
A brief introduction about yourself and your artistic practice, max ½ A4.
What is your connection to Norrbotten?
How do you connect your work to the theme "My Norrbotten"?
Clear photos of your works, max 5 images per work. Include size (max height 2m), technique, year, title, specific installation instructions, or anything else that might be important to know.

The Slöjd and Form Center will honor each exhibitor with 5000 SEK excluding VAT (6%) during the exhibition period. You, as the applicant, must be able to invoice for the exhibition fee. This can be done through invoicing services or through a sole proprietorship/limited company.
Exhibition period: Friday, September 5, 2025 – Sunday, January 18, 2026. Opening: Friday, September 5.
This is a jury-reviewed exhibition. The presentation of the jury members will be announced in May.
Selected contributions will be notified by email during week 20 (May 12–16) and will receive more detailed information about the submission process once accepted.
